Michael B. Schoffman

Michael B. Schoffman is a Senior Advisor at Schechter providing our clients investment management and financial planning guidance that is tailored to their unique financial goals. Michael is an accomplished financial professional with an extensive background in client relationship management, working with high-net-worth executives, entrepreneurs, and retirees in several business markets such as real estate, aviation, and entertainment. Michael has continually built on his technical proficiency by earning certifications including a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation, a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation (CDFA®), and a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®).

His track record in financial services includes positions held at Retirement Planners of America, USAA Financial Planning, UBS, and Merrill Lynch.

In addition to his lengthy financial services career, Michael spent over 20 years in the U.S. Navy both on active duty and in the reserves. His impressive roles included duty as an Instructor Pilot, Operations Officer, and Safety Department Head, with deployments throughout the Mediterranean, North Atlantic, Caribbean, and Central America.

Michael has lived in Los Angeles for more than 20 years. He and his wife, Andi, a Michigan native, have two teenagers, Gabe and Jojo, and two rescue dogs. Michael loves the outdoors, especially spending time in Idaho on the Salmon River each summer.  He volunteers as an admissions liaison for the U.S. Naval Academy and supports other veteran causes.
