Gregg A. Michael

Gregg A. Michael is the Managing Director, Institutional Partnerships at Schechter.

He is responsible for leading Schechter’s Institutional Partnership distribution platform that delivers our differentiating advanced life insurance designs, structures, marketing & educational materials, and point-of-sale capabilities through a national network of financial institutions, insurance intermediaries, advisors, and life insurance carriers serving the needs of the high net worth and ultra-high net worth markets.

Gregg manages Schechter’s innovative life insurance distribution strategy with a focus on technical expertise, brand awareness, relationship development, in-depth advanced solutions, product training, and advisor education to gain mind and market share within these critical partnerships. Gregg also manages the service of partnerships that leverage Schechter’s expertise before, during & after policy acquisition, monitoring all strategies for performance.

Gregg is an accomplished sales and distribution executive who holds an impressive 30-year track record of driving significant revenue results across multiple wholesale channels and through several industry-leading life insurance companies including Symetra, Principal Financial Group, Lincoln Financial Group, and Aetna Life & Annuity.  Gregg’s relationship expertise, sales acumen, technical proficiency, and broad distribution leadership were instrumental in helping transform these companies from industry outliers into major national players.

Gregg has been actively involved in many industry organizations and associations throughout his career including AALU (Association for Advanced Underwriting) and NALU (National Association of Life Underwriters).  He was active and held leadership roles on all major product, advisory, marketing, and distribution committees at each of the four insurance carriers in which he worked.

Gregg graduated cum laude from Villanova University with a degree in economics and a minor in English. He currently resides in Nashville, TN with his wife of 24 years and their two children.
