Florence Affatato

Florence Affatato is the Chief Compliance Officer at Schechter Investment Advisors and Schechter Private Capital in Birmingham, Michigan. In this capacity she is responsible for administering Schechter’s compliance program. Her professional background includes working as Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel at SEC Registered Investment Advisors. In these roles Florence was responsible for providing direction and oversight to ensure consistent compliance with regulatory, and internal policies and standards as well as providing continuing counsel and guidance on legal matters. 

Florence holds multiple educational designations including an LLM in Tax Law from Wayne University, a JD from Michigan State University, an MSW in Social Work from Aurora University, and a BA in Sociology from Benedictine University. She is a member in good standing of the State Bar of Michigan, the Business Law Section, and the Information Technology Law Section. Furthermore, she is Licensed to practice in Federal Court in the Eastern District of Michigan.

Florence is a Michigander who enjoys taking long walks with her husband Tony, running 12.5 miles per day, and working on her flower garden.
